As we welcome the fresh beginnings that spring brings, I am excited to share some city updates and acknowledgments.

First and foremost, I want to take a moment to highlight an individual whose dedication and hard work have significantly enriched the lives of the youth in our community. Erin Clemm, a name many of you are familiar with, has been the backbone of the Troy Sports Program for several years.

What began with the simple addition of soccer for our children has expanded under Erin's guidance into a comprehensive sports program, including a variety of sports such as basketball, baseball and football, among others, offering a wide range of activities to suit the varied interests of our young participants.

Erin's volunteer service has been nothing short of extraordinary. She has met and exceeded the community's expectations, demonstrating her commitment to nurturing our children's physical and mental well-being through sports.

I am very happy to announce Erin Clemm as the official Youth Sports Program Coordinator with the City of Troy. Her transition from a volunteer to a staff member marks a significant milestone in the growth of our youth sports program, and we are delighted to have her join us in this new capacity. Her vision, leadership, and passion for youth development will continue to push the program to greater heights.

I would also like to thank the Troy Recreation District for their continuous support of the sports program over the years. Their contributions, particularly in facilitating grant funding for equipment procurement, have been instrumental in the program's success.

The collaboration between the City of Troy and the Troy Rec District demonstrates the power of collaboration in achieving common goals and enhancing community life.

The benefits of the youth sports programs in Troy spreads far beyond the playing fields. For the children, participation in sports nurtures physical fitness, encourages teamwork, builds self-esteem, and teaches valuable life lessons about perseverance and sportsmanship. For the community, these programs allow us to engage and connect with one another.

Looking ahead, I'm sure that with Erin leading the way and the ongoing support from the Troy Recreation District, our youth sports programs will keep being a key part of bringing our community together.

Thank you, Erin, and thank you to everyone involved in supporting these vital programs.

Let us all continue to work together to ensure that the youth of Troy have the opportunities and resources they need to thrive!

As always, I am proud to be your Mayor.

Mayor Steve Corr
